Shenmue broke a third world record.
Shibuya Production and Ys Net has just completed a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for the production of Shenmue III. The funding goal was set at $2 million, but with a total of 69,320 contributors the campaign ended last Friday with an astonishing $6,333,295 raised, the highest amount ever recorded for a video game.
A new Guinness World Record !
Last 15th June 2015 at the E3 in Los Angeles, Shibuya Productions announced the famous video game Shenmue III in association with Yu Suzuki via a kickstarter campaign.
After 1 hour and 42 minutes, Shenmue III smashed Guinness World Record for Fastest Video Game Crowdfunding.
At the same time, Shenmue III became the second fastest Kickstarter project overall to raise $1 million in contributions.

Shibuya Production is proud to announce its new collaboration with the author Alain Damasio to create a global transmedia world called “Fusion”.
It is a narrative universe created around a powerful idea: what if water was the base of the memory? Around this idea, “Fusion” intends to give birth to numerous works on different quality media chosen for their relevance: book, manga, film, series and video game.
The first creation from this collaboration is going to be a novel by Alain Damasio, to be published in the first semester 2016.
